Where can we get a slanted piece of railing to go down steps?
We weld our steel railings and rivet our aluminum railings so that they can be pitched to go down stairs. Our standard piece of railing works for both straight and angled installations. To slant railing for use on steps, apply pressure downward and endwise to the top railing. The steel rail will then need to be cut at an angle on the ends with a hacksaw so that the railing will fit perpendicularly against the newel posts. For slanting aluminum railings, you will need to use swivel fittings. An adjustable angle is a handy tool for this.
